I started early in the morning from Minks towards the west - my first stop was the little town of Njasizh famous for the castle. The setting is really beautiful here in the middle of a lake the castle is situated surrounded by a water channel.
It was the hometown of the Radzivili family, that was once owning areas in Lithuania, Poland and Belarus. The castle was designed in the 16 th century rebuild many times and different styles were added. Once the complex had 170 rooms. Here is also the birth place of the Belarusian theatre culture - with an own theathre in the castle that actively gave the spark to the theatre curlture in Belarus

I started my drive towards Mir - a small town 40 km away to visit the next highlight - the Mir castle - listed as UNESCO world heritage. The construction started in 1520 and it was rebuilt many times to a renaissance palace, fell into despair and was renovated in the 1730s and finally had is misuse as a Ghetto during German occupation and then was used as living place for the local population after the war up to 1963... but now it is back to great beauty again
