From Gomel to Mahiljou

The weather was to change today with rainfall predicted in the afternoon so I was starting early from Gomel - but not without a stop n my favourite cafe - yes off course - espresso and chocolate pancake - how much better a start could be ....
The first stop on my way to Mahiljou was Rahacou - the famouse plac of the Sguschtschonka - the famouse bellarussian condensed milk - and here is the factory located and there is even a monument for this product - great patriotism....

I continued my journey towards Zylicy where in the 18th century a big palace was erected from the family Transki - the place has gone through different usage from school to hospital so it got a bit out of shape but still is impressive and the renovation works will sure bring him back to former glory.

The already restored parts looks already impressive

I passed Bychau with the ruins of a palace and a former Synagoge - under heavy disparity for renovation....

In the afternoon I arrived in Mahiljou - Nicky located on the river of the Dnepr  for an evening stroll through the city and a relaxing afternoon

View over the Dnepr towards the city centre

The rebuilt town hall the communist have blown up after the war

In the Lenin street - always nice for a stroll

The town hall

The local theatre

Samowar in the backyards

Looking for the stars ....

Kreml feeling on the children's playground

The Dom Soviet- once in the 2nd World War planned to be the new administrative centre of Belarus

The Tserkov Trekh church right after the Dom Soviet

No that cannot be the vodka effect - didn't had any alcohol today

In the evening I enjoyed a splendid time and excellent espresso in the coffee shop Respubika, had great discussions and made lots of new friends ...
You need to visit this gorgeouse place with the best espresso in town if you are here
